KLM Connect Q&A
KLM Connect Q&A
KLM Connect will be sent out from June 2024. You can find more information about it on this page.
Is participation mandatory?
Participation is not mandatory, but only with your answers can we work together on KLM Employee engagement.
Participants in the survey
Who will receive this survey?
All employees with a KLM N.V. contract active in the Netherlands or deployed abroad (expats) and KLC employees with a KLM Cityhopper B.V. contract will receive the invitation to participate in KLM Connect.
Why do KLM colleagues within Cargo and Commercial joint receive a modified KLM Connect?
Within KLM, from now on we'll be measuring engagement in a different way to get a more complete picture. We'll also be measuring the extent to which KLM colleagues feel that something is done with their feedback. In June 2023, the majority of KLM colleagues participated in the KLM Employee Survey. Employees within Cargo and Commercial joint didn't receive this survey as they work in a joint team together with AF colleagues, the survey did not apply to AF colleagues. We decided at the time not to include this group of colleagues in the KLM Employee Survey. Other KLM colleagues will receive some questions related to this Survey in KLM Connect to measure progress and gain in-depth insight. These questions are therefore excluded for KLM colleagues within Cargo and Commercial joint. The KLM Employee Survey is conducted twice a year. We're exploring how the survey can also be rolled out within joint teams. Until then, these colleagues will receive a modified KLM Connect.
Why do KLM colleagues at Inflight Services receive a modified KLM Connect?
From now on, we'll be measuring engagement throughout KLM in a different way, to get a more complete picture. We'll also be measuring the extent to which KLM colleagues feel that something is being done with their feedback. In June 2023, the majority of KLM colleagues participated in the KLM Employee Survey. Employees within Inflight Services did not receive this survey at the time, as Inflight Services has its own survey on job satisfaction. Other KLM colleagues, also receive in KLM Connect some questions related to the KLM Employee Survey to measure progress and gain in-depth insight. These questions are therefore excluded for KLM colleagues within Inflight Services.
Parties we work with
Who is Ipsos?
Ipsos is a global market research company that supports and advises us on employee engagement and related surveys.
Who is Qualtrics?
Qualtrics is an international ''experience management software'' company. KLM uses their tool to send KLM Connect and view results.
Privacy
How is my personal data handled in the context of privacy and AVG?
Depending on your employer, KLM or KLM Cityhopper is responsible for processing your personal data. The survey is built by KLM and sent via Qualtrics' external survey tool. After submitting your survey, the answers are automatically anonymised in the Qualtrics tool, so KLM/KLC only receives anonymised survey data. This way, your answers remain anonymous to KLM and KLC. We process your personal data in accordance with privacy legislation.
KLM takes appropriate measures to protect your personal data. You can contribute to this yourself. We advise you to do the following:
After completing the survey, click 'send' immediately, rather than finishing it at a later time.
Do not leave your computer or laptop unattended and lock it when you leave it.
Make sure that others cannot access the e-mail containing the link and that you do not forward the e-mail to others.
The processors of the personal data, Qualtrics and KLM will not use the personal data for other purposes.
If you choose to complete the questionnaire, the answers are collected by the Qualtrics tool. This tool automatically links your answers with some data from our personnel administration that KLM and KLC have previously shared with Qualtrics. This is necessary to be able to break down the anonymised results, across different divisions and departments. Your engagement lead and HR Business Partner can see the results of their division with a minimum of five respondents. The minimum of five applies to all linked data mentioned above.
If you have questions about the survey, your participation, or the processing of personal data in the context of the survey, please send an e-mail to employee.surveys@klm.com. If you would like to access, amend, or delete your personal data, have the processing restricted or would like us to transfer your data, you can also submit a request via this e-mail address.
For more information on the processing of your personal data by KLM and KLM Cityhopper, please refer to the HR Privacy Policy:
