We first met The Simpsons in 1989 and they’ve become everyone’s favorite cartoon family. The animated show has had 32 seasons since then and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to end anytime soon. The creators of the show even made a movie based on it in 2007. Most of the actors from the show have stayed the same since it first aired and pretty much all of them voice several different characters.

The voice actors are so talented that they can voice a lot of characters and you wouldn’t even be able to tell. You wouldn’t know that Homer and Krusty are both played by Dan Castellaneta. And that Willie and Barney are played by him too. Since the actors are able to voice so many characters, their paychecks are pretty big. Let’s take a look at how much the cast has earned over the years.
10 Dan Castellaneta
Dan Castellaneta is the one who brings our favorite goofy donut-loving father to life, along with some other citizens of Springfield. “The one and only Homer Simpson is voiced by Dan Castellaneta, who is also responsible for Barney, Krusty, and Willie, among other characters. He also voiced the Robot Devil on Futurama, another Matt Groening project,” according to Audacy. When Dan first started voicing Homer and other characters in season 1, he was getting paid about $30,000 an episode, so his net worth wasn’t that much back in 1989. Now he’s getting paid about $400,000 an episode and his net worth has grown to $85 million.
9 Julie Kavner
Julie Kavner voices Homer’s blue-haired hilarious and caring wife, Marge, who always tries to make sure her family stays out of trouble. “Julie Kavner has earned up to $300,000 per episode for playing Marge, and she has voiced other members of the Bouvier family, Patty, Selma, and Jacqueline,” according to Audacy. Since she plays Marge and other members of the family, she gets paid almost as much as Dan Castellaneta. She used to earn $30,000 per episode when she first started on season 1, but she’s gotten a huge raise since then and now has a net worth of $85 million just like her on-screen husband.

8 Yeardley Smith
Yeardley Smith has the same net worth as Dan Castellaneta and Julie Kavner since she plays two of the main members of the Simpson family. “Yeardley Smith, who has a brilliant net worth of $85 million, which isn't a major surprise considering that she voices one of the main characters in Lisa Simpson, which is an incredibly iconic voice,” according to TheRichest. She voices Maggie sometimes as well, but you wouldn’t be able to tell since she only makes sounds and doesn’t talk. Just like her co-stars, she made $30,000 per episode in the first season, but now she makes $300,000 per episode.
7 Nancy Cartwright
Nancy Cartwright plays Homer and Marge’s oldest and wildest kid, Bart. She’s voiced a few other smaller roles too. “Nancy Cartwright voices Bart, along with nemesis Nelson, Ralph Wiggum, and Todd Flanders. Her voice has also appeared in a number of other animated shows, like Family Guy, Kim Possible, and All Grown Up,” according to Audacy. Although she plays one of the Simpson family members, her net worth is a little bit less than the other actors who voice the rest of the family. She went from $30,000 to $300,000 an episode like the other voice actors, but her net worth is $80 million today.
6 Harry Shearer
Harry Shearer isn’t a part of the Simpson family, but he’s played many citizens of Springfield. “Like a number of voice actors on The Simpsons, Shearer has voiced a lot of different roles, including Ned, Mr. Burns, principal Skinner, reverend Lovejoy, and even Scratchy. He can also be seen in live action in SNL and This Is Spinal Tap, among other projects,” according to Audacy. His salary also went from $30,000 to $300,000 since the show first aired and now he has a net worth of about $85 million.
5 Hank Azaria
Hank Azaria is another voice actor who didn’t play a member of the Simpson family, but voiced a lot of other important characters. “Fans have been seeing a lot of Hank Azaria lately on Brockmire, but he’s responsible for invisibly voicing many Springfield residents as well. His roles include Apu, Moe, Chief Wiggum, Disco Stu, and even Santa,” according to Audacy. His salary grew from $30,000 to $300,000 per episode like his co-stars, but his net worth is more than theirs since he’s starred in other shows as well. His net worth today is around $90 million.
4 Pamela Hayden
Pamela Hayden voiced more residents of Springfield, including a couple kids who aren’t exactly friends with the Simpsons, but we see them in a few different episodes. “Everything’s coming up Millhouse for Pamela Hayden, the voice actor behind the cartoon boy, who also voiced Amber (Homer’s Las Vegas wife), Rod Flanders, and Jimbo Jones,” according to Audacy. It’s not exactly clear what her net worth is, but it’s estimated to be around $16 to $25 million. Since she doesn’t play any main characters, her net worth is a lot lower than some of the other actors. We’re not sure what her salary is either, but it’s probably a little bit less than $300,000 and it was probably only a few thousand when the show first started.

3 Russi Taylor
Russi Taylor sadly passed away two years ago and isn’t on the show anymore. But she played a lot of the kids in Springfield before she passed away. “Russi Taylor lent her voice to a number of children on the show, including Martin Prince, Sherri and Terri, and Üter. She was also known for her work with DuckTales and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and amassed $12 million before her passing in 2019,” according to Audacy. It’s not clear what her salary was either, but it was probably a lot less than her co-stars since she played smaller roles on the show.
2 Frank Welker
Frank Welker hasn’t voiced any of the citizens of Springfield, but he voiced their pets. “Frank Welker doesn't actually voice any humans on The Simpsons, but he is known for his roles voicing the vast majority of the animals of the show such as Santa's Little Helper and Snowball. It is through voicing animals that the comedian has grown his net worth to $15 million, with one of his most iconic roles outside of Springfield also involving an animal, as he has voiced Scooby-Doo before as well,” according to TheRichest. It’s not clear what his salary is, but he’s gotten more money from the Scooby-Doo series, so his salary probably isn’t that much for The Simpsons.
1 Tress MacNeille
Unlike Frank Welker, Tress MacNeille voices humans, but she voiced a lot of smaller roles, so her net worth is a little bit less than his. “On the cartoon show, MacNeille voices a variety of Springfield favorites such as Agnes Skinner, Opal, and the Crazy Cat Lady, amongst many others,” according to TheRichest. Her net worth is around $10 million today. She’s been working on The Simpsons since its second season, but her salary isn’t that much since she only voices smaller roles.
